No, it’s not mandatory if you’re focusing on organic skincare products or if you choose not to include certain ingredients in your skincare brand.

However, we highly encourage you to learn and formulate all the products in our curriculum for your comprehensive knowledge.

– Our courses focus on teaching formulation rather than following set recipes.
– Students have the freedom to choose and create formulations based on their preferences.
– We acknowledge that purchasing ingredients is a financial commitment, However as a beginner we discourage you from purchasing expensive ingredients until you are confident in formulating with the basics. 

Please be aware that you don’t require every ingredient listed here; having approximately two options from each category will suffice.

Exfoliants: Salt or Sugar

AHA’s & BHA’s: Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, Niacinamide 10-20g each.

Emulsifiers:  Olivem1000
Preservatives: Preservative ECO or Geogard ECT, or Benzyl Alcohol or Sodium benzoate & Potassium sorbate
Surfactants: Coco-glucoside or Yucca extract 

Essential Oils (Optional): Lavender or Sweet Orange or Frankincense or Roman Chamomile
